Do I need to be at home on collection day?

No you don’t. Simply leave your tree in an accessible space at the front of your property which our team can get to easily and safely.

Please do not block pavements and access roads/paths with your tree. If you do not have a safe and accessible space to leave it in such as a front porch/front garden/driveway, please get in touch with the team who will be able to advise you on ways in which it can be safely left for us to collect.

Email: events@smhospicehereford.org

Remember to remove all tinsel and decorations and any pots or stands before leaving your tree out.

Real trees are recyclable and can be shredded into chippings which are then used locally in parks or woodland areas across Herefordshire. We send every tree we collect to be recycled in this way so that every part of it can be reused.

Sadly, artificial trees cannot currently be recycled. However, if they are in a good condition, our retail stores may take them. Please contact your local store to see if they are accepting donations.

All proceeds from our Christmas Tree Collection service goes directly to providing essential care for those who need it most, at any time they might need it. By booking a service like this one, you are helping us to care for patients and families this Christmas – thank you, from all of us at St Michael’s.
