Digger and tractor run in memory of Neil raises over £3,700
Neil Jones was cared for at St Michael’s in 2024. Funds have been split between the Hospice and We Are Farming Minds
A digger and tractor run featuring over 50 vehicles was held in memory of a much-loved Herefordshire man who was cared for at St Michael’s.
Neil Jones died with us two years ago. Whilst staying on our Inpatient Unit, a number of his friends and colleagues drove their tractors to the Hospice in Bartestree for him to see.
Last month, 56 diggers and tractors drove a 27-mile circular route through south Herefordshire, taking in an area Neil knew and loved so much.
The event raised an incredible £3,734 which was equally split between us and the brilliant We are Farming Minds charity.
Money was raised through entry fees, a raffle and very kind donations.
Huge thanks also to Pengethley Farm Shop for donating the bacon for the butties which were enjoyed by the drivers and many others who attended.
Thank you to everyone who made this day such a special one in Neil’s memory.
