Andrew White praises “amazing, caring” St Michael’s staff who cared for his brother-in-law
Andrew White couldn’t believe his luck when he took a call from us saying he was £5,000 better off having won our Prize Draw jackpot.
Andrew and his wife plan to spend the winnings on a holiday, but although he lives on the Isle of Wight, his reason for entering the Draw is a lot closer to home.
“Earlier this year my brother-in-law, who lived in Ledbury, was diagnosed with terminal cancer and spent some time at St Michael’s,” he said, adding the Isle of Wight’s hospice is a very popular charity, running a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year.
“St Michael’s is such a beautiful, peaceful place with stunning gardens and amazing, caring staff. My brother-in-law was very well looked-after while he was there, and I therefore wanted to do something in return.”
