The third annual Plant Fair at St Michael’s Hospice will be a celebration of the joy of gardening.
Grow your support
Each year we ask for donations of plants to sell at the Fair. If you are sowing seeds, growing-on plug plants or dividing your perennials before May and would be able to donate half a dozen plants to us, please contact Gaynor for details of when and how to deliver them to us. Alternatively, if you would like to help out on a stall at the Plant Fair, please contact Gaynor. Ring 01432 852630 or email email@example.com. Thank you to all our green-fingered community supporters who have donated plants for our previous Plant Fairs.
At the Fair
Plant lovers can browse a wide range of herbaceous perennials, bedding plants, annuals, trees, shrubs, alpines, bulbs, carnivorous and indoor plants grown by professional and amateur gardeners. In addition to plants, there will be fresh strawberries and asparagus; beautiful handcrafted wooden jewellery and home decor; cards, prints, coasters and mugs; wild bird food; pottery and preserves; natural honey products; plus organic fruit and vegetables. Something for everyone!
This year the Fair is expanding into the Hospice’s lower garden – a large, tranquil, open grass area. A golf buggy will transport visitors from the car park to the Plant Fair site.
Hot and cold drinks plus fresh, homemade cakes will be available in our newly-refurbished cafe, all day on both days. Delicious two-course lunches will be served between 12pm and 2pm each day. There is no booking necessary for lunches…just turn up.
We are pleased to announce six new traders attending in 2019: Hort Plants from Bodenham with trees, shrubs and topiary; Mynd Hardy Plants Ltd from Diddlebury, Shropshire with perennials; The Wild Bird Store from Hereford, selling wild bird food; Danielle Flowers Contemporary Craft, selling handcrafted, wooden home decor and jewellery; Seggin Bees from Leominster with natural honey products; and Skylark Organics from Bromyard with organic fruit and vegetables. We look forward to seeing their wonderful displays.
There is on-site parking at the Hospice, but please car-share if you can. We will be providing a Golf Buggy to transport visitors from the car park to and from the Plant Fair site.
