The founder of a leading international Mindfulness movement is coming to Herefordshire.

Vidyamala Burch, a world-renowned Mindfulness teacher and the co-founder of Breathworks, will visit St Michael’s Hospice in Bartestree on 29th September to host her only UK masterclass on the subject.

A Mindfulness approach is being more recognised with helping people to improve their wellbeing and in the way they cope with the likes of illness and stress.

‘We are delighted that the only Breathworks masterclass in the UK is taking place here at St Michael’s,’ said Gail Calthrop, a staff nurse and a Breathworks teacher at the Hospice.

‘It will be Vidyamala’s first time at St Michael’s.

‘The day is open to anyone including health professionals, Mindfulness teachers and practitioners, as well as those wanting to attend for their own personal benefit.’

Breathworks has supported the Mindfulness teachings at St Michael’s Hospice for the last three years.

Those attending the Masterclass will be introduced to the main elements of Breathworks’ mindfulness-based approaches to managing pain, illness and stress.

Other than the one at St Michael’s, there are similar Masterclasses planned in New Zealand, Germany and the United States.

The Masterclass takes place between 9.30am-4pm and costs £120, which includes lunch, refreshments and a certificate of attendance.
