About the role
We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our Community Services team working through Hospice at Home to provide night support to our community based patients.
The purpose of this role is to deliver individualised, holistic palliative nursing care to patients and their families in their own homes to enhance their quality of life. As part of this you will be required to provide care under direction of other Health care professionals, undertake a range of clinical care interventions all while providing excellent patient service and care.
Please note we currently do not have a sponsorship licence and are unable to sponsor any visas, therefore candidates must have the right to work in the UK prior to applying for this position.
What we are looking for
We are currently looking for an experience Health care Assistant to join our Hospice at Home team. We are looking for someone who is qualified with a NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent, who has had experience in delivering hands on palliative care as well as handling difficult experiences.
The ideal candidate will have basic IT skills and a full driver’s licence. Ideally, the right candidate will also hold a care certificate or relevant exposure to delivering care in the community.
As this position is to provide palliative care, we require someone who is confident and able to quickly build relationships with staff, relative and patients. If you are someone who believes in putting the patient first and has excellent communication skills, then this could be the role for you.
