We have an exciting opportunity to join the innovative Income Generation Team at St Michael’s Hospice; one of the leading local charities in the county. The team is responsible for delivering high quality events as well as working closely with a range of businesses, organisations and individuals to secure funding and support. As a public facing team it is essential that our communication with stakeholders reflects the excellent care provided at the Hospice.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an influential person to scope out new opportunities and network with business leaders around the county to garner support for the Hospice. You will achieve this with a team that thrives on creativity and teamwork, so a positive and motivated personality is vital.
The role will require previous experience in sales and/or customer acquisition in the public, private or third sector.
About the role
You will create a wide-reaching network of stakeholders to support the delivery of fundraising activities, including securing items for discounted rates or in kind. This network will also influence corporate support for volunteering.
You will be proactive and capable of working on your own initiative, whilst collaborating with the wider Income Generation, Marketing and Communications department and other teams across the Hospice. You will be open to hearing and sharing new ideas and have a flexible approach to work.
Getting in front of people is paramount, therefore a full UK driving licence is required. The role will require frequent travel around the county and will include some evening and weekend working.
