Bob retired in 1994 but has never lost his passion for police cars. When St Michael’s Senior Therapy Assistant Sharon Read-Simpson told her husband, PC Mark Simpson, that Bob was visiting St Michael’s, Mark arranged to visit St Michael’s and bring Bob up to date with all the latest technology used in the modern cop car. Bob said ‘It’s brought back lots of memories of working as an Accident Prevention Officer and it’s been fascinating to see how things have changed.’ One thing that Bob and Mark both agree on is that catching criminals never changes – but new technology does make life a little easier.
