Our Retail department is key to the success of St Michael’s Hospice, raising significant funds to support the care of our patients and their families.

Retail is ever changing and as we grow the Retail Department to meet increasing customer demand, we are looking for volunteers to support our shop in Gloucester Road, Ross on Wye.

Our retail volunteers assist Retail Managers with the daily running of retail shops to maximise income and profit. Whether you have experience or want to learn, here are some of the tasks you would help with: 

·        Delivering high standard of customer service. 

·        Assisting Retail Manager with processing stock, display of goods, paperwork and till/banking procedures.  

·        Assisting customers with the Gift Aid process and with information through phone call donations. 

·        Ensuring all retail and trading activities conform to current ethical and moral standards. 

·        Assisting Retail Manager with volunteer training. 

·        Having awareness of volunteer safety and the correct completion of accident book. 

·        Communicating with general public regarding collections and deliveries. 

We currently have volunteer vacancies for the following shifts:

Monday 9am – 12pm & 12pm – 2.30pm

Tuesday  12 – 2pm

Wednesday 12 – 2pm

Friday     12 – 2pm

Saturday     9.30am – 1pm
