St Michael’s is renowned for its high quality, compassionate and holistic care. Our current Quality & Compliance Officer is retiring and has done outstanding work in setting up systems and processes to ensure St Michael’s finds ways to continually improve its care and support.


Hiring Quality Compliance Officer

We are looking for a passionate, enquiring and dynamic individual, who is driven to find opportunities to build on, and evolve, the existing processes and systems and keen to demonstrate our quality to others (regulators and commissioners, for example). Together with the Clinical Governance Nurse Lead, you will be responsible for leading our quality and clinical compliance agenda, including governance, audit, and regulatory compliance. Although predominantly care orientated, we are keen to expand the role to other areas of the charity. 

We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills as you’ll need to use, and further develop, our in-house Quality database and be an advanced user of Word and Excel. Experience in a healthcare organisation is needed to enable you to have a basic grasp of care services and compliance requirements (especially those linked to the Care Quality Commission).  You will need to be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing to provide concise reports at meetings.
