Based in the beautiful village of Bartestree, approximately 5 miles west of Hereford city, St Michael’s Hospice has been providing the highest quality care, free of charge, to the local community for over 35 years.

The Business Administration Apprentice will be providing administrative support to HR, Education and the Volunteer Co-ordinator. You will be processing pre-employment checks, preparing letters, placing job adverts, and arranging interviews. You will also be updating the HR system, maintaining training records, helping to plan and organise our internal and external training courses and assisting with organising volunteer events.

You will need to be able to work well in a team, and have a collaborative and supportive approach. You will also need to maintain high professional standards, and organise your own time effectively by prioritising and preparing in advance. You will be reliable showing commitment to any tasks given, be able to communicate effectively, and remain calm when under pressure.

The successful candidate will be able to use databases and Microsoft Office applications and have an understanding of confidentiality.
