Have you got green fingers? Would you like to put your hobby to good use at your Hospice?
St Michael’s Hospice prides itself on the high-quality support it provides the people of Herefordshire. The environment in which this support is given helps complement the medical and nursing care given by our professionals. With this in mind, we want to further develop our beautiful gardens and grounds so that patients and their loved ones can spend time in, or just gaze out onto an oasis of calm.
We are looking for one or perhaps two individuals to take on the role of Head Gardener(s) and coordinate our small, keen and ever-expanding volunteer gardening team. Working with your fellow volunteers, including the Hospice’s Volunteer Landscape Designer, and Head of Facilities, you will help St Michael’s create a beautiful area for everyone to enjoy and benefit from. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with good gardening knowledge who is organised, works well with people and has an eye for detail.
In order to allow for some continuity, we are looking for a minimum commitment (with flexibility) equivalent to one day per week.
If you would like to find out more, we would be happy to have an informal chat. If you would like to do this, apply for the position, or just ask for further information, then please contact Volunteer Co-Ordinator Benjamin Pardoe on 01432 851000 or firstname.lastname@example.org
