Sponsorship for this event has now closed. Thank you for your interest.
At St Michael’s Hospice, cider is very close to us, quite literally.
Orchards surround most of the Bartestree site, with many patient rooms offering a view of cider apples beyond the Hospice gardens.
By sponsoring a cider tree your money will help those looking out on that view, along with the many other families in our community living with a terminal illness.
We all know someone who loves a drop of Herefordshire’s most famous tipple.
So how would they fancy sponsoring a heritage cider tree throughout 2021?
Sponsorship includes access to the orchard, just a stone’s throw from St Michael’s Hospice, on two occasions, for a blossom walk and picnic, then later in the year for a harvesting and tasting session.
The cost to sponsor a tree is £50 and allows up to four people to visit the orchard with you on each date. Additional friends and family can join you at an additional cost.
Blossom Walk and Picnic
Visit the 700-strong apple-tree orchard in full bloom on Sunday 9th May. Stop at your tree before enjoying a ploughmans lunch picnic – plus apple juice, of course – produced by our expert Hospice kitchen team.
Harvesting and Tasting
On Sunday 26th September join us for a harvesting session in the orchard followed by the chance to taste both a traditional limited edition Tidnor cider, as well as a sweetened version.
The cost to sponsor a tree is £50 and grants up to four people to visit the orchard with you on each date. Additional friends and family can join you at an additional cost.
