A much-loved Herefordshire radio station has joined forces with St Michael’s Hospice.
Sunshine Radio, whose reach extends into Monmouthshire and South Shropshire, says it is delighted to have become the Bartestree-based Hospice’s media partner.
The partnership will see Sunshine working hand-in-hand with St Michael’s to boost the work the Hospice does in the community, including the promotion of many events such as the Venus Glow 10K Midnight Walk and the Wheelie Big Cycle.
Station manager, Mark Edwards, said: ‘We are very pleased to become the media partner for St Michael’s Hospice.
‘We have long supported the fabulous work they do and look forward to championing their efforts and dedication going forward.’
St Michael’s provides palliative care for those with a terminal illness, both at its Bartestree home and across the county thanks to its Hospice at Home service.
Day Hospice services are also provided at Bartestree.
It is thanks to the generosity of the community that the Hospice continues to operate.
‘We are really pleased to get on board with Sunshine Radio, a station which has many listeners across Herefordshire,’ said Ruth Denison, the Hospice’s Director of Income and Marketing.
‘Sunshine shares our desire to further publicise the work we do. I believe this will be a fruitful partnership.’
