Fifteen Year Six students from Madley Primary School visited our Holme Lacy Road Shop for a real-life lesson in retail.

The children served customers, sorted and priced products, learned about presentation, merchandising and dressed the shop window.

Learning Support Assistant, Tracey Duffy, said: ‘It’s been a wonderful opportunity for the children to reinforce all the skills they have learned during their enterprise lessons at school.’

Pupils also got a chance to see how the money raised is put to good use with a visit to St Michael’s in Bartestree.

Year Six student Lydia said: ‘It brought all my learning to life and has been a very memorable day that I think will stay with me for years to come.’

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the children and staff who took part. We think the future of the retail industry will be safe in your hands.
