Twenty years ago this week, the father of St Michael’s supporter Jessie Pardoe died.

Ian Pardoe had been cared for by St Michael’s, and Jessie wanted to mark the occasion by raising funds for us.

So, she spent Father’s Day having her 22-inch hair shaved by friends and relatives.

Jessie has raised more than £1,000 – and there’s still time to donate.

“St Michael’s Hospice provided care not only for my dad, but my family too,” said Jessie.

“Having toured St Michael’s and heard the amazing things the staff do, I couldn’t be more proud to support them.”

The cut hair will be sent to the Hereford-based Little Princess Trust to be made into a real-hair wig.
