Try your hand at sustainable gift wrapping with this fun, free workshop at our Whitestone Shop.
Join us for our Sustainable Christmas Wrapping Workshops!
Join the St Michael’s team at their flagship Whitestone shop to try some sustainable Christmas gift techniques.
We are keen champions of sustainable shopping and regularly celebrate the power of pre-loved when choosing items for your wardrobe and home. For the festive season, we are all about sustainable gift-giving, so you are warmly invited to join us at our newest shop to learn some sustainable alternatives for wrapping your Christmas gifts.
Sessions:
This event is an informal workshop. Sessions are free, with no need to book – just turn up on the day.
10:30am – 11:30am
1:00pm – 2:00pm
Please note, due to space we are limited to 6 – 8 people per session, with spaces first come first served. If a session is full, why not pay a visit to our cafe and enjoy a drink while you wait.
About the workshops:
During these informal sessions, you will be able to watch a short demonstration of several sustainable gift wrapping ideas, including Furoshiki (knot-wrapping), before trying these techniques yourself. In addition, we will be joined by a floral designer who will demonstrate ways to introduce dried flowers and foliage to create eco-friendly present toppers and decorations, which you can take away with you (all materials provided).
Sustainable gift-wrapping materials will include recycled, upcycled or pre-loved fabrics, scarves, and pillowcases, plus ribbons and other present decorating items. All wrapping materials will be available to purchase should you wish to take any home – just ask a member of our team for assistance.
