Support for Adults (Carers & Family Members)

A counselling service is available to talk through your problems, explore your thoughts and discuss the impact a terminal illness has on you personally. This service is available whether you are an inpatient, day patient, family member, friend or carer.

The Supportive Care team can offer information, advice and support on how to talk to the child, teenager or young adult in your family about the person who has a terminal illness.

They can also provide you with information on how children, teenagers and young adults are affected when someone close to them has a terminal illness or has died, and how best you and other adults in their lives can support them.
