Assisted Bathing

Enjoy a deep relaxing bubble bath fully supported by our team of professionals.

Feeling relaxed and pampered often has a significant effect on how good we feel and can increase our sense of wellbeing.

What to expect:

Our bathroom exudes a cosy atmosphere, meticulously designed to be bright, warm, and spacious. Equipped with a user-friendly hydraulic bathtub that can be adjusted to accommodate your needs, we also provide a chair and ceiling hoist for individuals with mobility challenges. For added enjoyment, optional extras include rubber ducks and bubble bath.

Staff will be on hand to help you every step of the way, and a family member can also join you. You’re welcome to be fully undressed or partially clothed (in swim wear for example), whatever is most comfortable for you.

What we do:

Numerous individuals visiting the hospice encounter challenges in having a thorough bath or shower in their own homes. It can be inconvenient (and occasionally unsafe) to attempt washing while dealing with physical limitations. However, maintaining proper cleanliness and a refreshed feeling can significantly impact our daily well-being. We are here to assist you in relaxing and experiencing that weightless, floaty sensation.

  • Our assistance includes aiding you in entering or exiting the bath, facilitating the washing, drying, and dressing processes.
  • Rest assured, all our caregivers are qualified professionals with extensive experience, ensuring your safety and well-being.
  • To enhance your experience, we provide soft towels and offer a diverse range of high-quality soaps and shampoos for your selection. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own preferred personal care items if you so choose.

Patients can be referred to the Hospice either by their GP, community nurse specialist, district nurse, hospital doctor or consultant.

The care staff not only provide excellent support but also bring laughter into the mix. They play a crucial role in helping me preserve my personal dignity while creating a relaxing environment while I have a bath, it’s really great.
