Strike a light!
This oriental ginger jar – which had been converted to a lamp – was going to be thrown out.
Instead, it was listed on our ebay page for 99p, and sold for £1,323!
“It failed a PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and we were going to throw it away, but I thought there was something about it, so we removed the plug and wire, then listed it, and it just took off,” said Mark Thomas, our Online Trading Assistant who is pictured with the item.
