This Father’s Day, St Michael’s supporter Jessie Pardoe will remember her dad in a very special way.

This month marks 20 years since Jessie’s dad, Ian Pardoe, died. He had been cared for by St Michael’s.

To mark the occasion, Jessie has decided to shave her hair, with sponsorship money coming to St Michael’s, and the hair itself being donated to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a real-hair wig.

“My hair is currently around 22 inches and hasn’t been cut for a long time,” said Jessie. “On the day, family members and friends will take turns to help cut my hair.”

The cut will take place on Father’s Day (Sunday, 18th June) at the Hospice’s home in Bartestree.

“St Michael’s Hospice provided care not only for my dad, but my family too,” added Jessie.

“Having toured St Michael’s and heard the amazing things the staff do, I couldn’t be more proud to support them.

“I’m doing this as a way to give back to the organisation who helped my family through an incredibly tough time and to feel more connected to my dad.”
