Huge thanks to the family of Pete Ammonds – his wife Jackie, children Dan, Emma, Zoe, and their families – who have donated £2,400 to St Michael’s Hospice.

£1,600 of this money was collected during his funeral a few weeks ago, and £800 was raised during the Barons Cross Charity Music Festival this summer.

Pete was diagnosed with cancer 20 years ago. A decade later, at his 50th birthday party, £8,000 was raised for a charity of his choice, with Pete choosing St Michael’s.

Pete spent 10 days at St Michael’s in March and attended regular acupuncture sessions.

Pete’s wife, Jackie, said the care, facilities, support and compassion St Michael’s Hospice provided for Pete was “invaluable and amazing”.
