We can’t wait for you to join us for this exclusive evening event to get you in the mood for Christmas.
We have partnered with Black Mountains Botanicals to bring you two evenings of festive light, fun and splendour in the glowing grounds of St Michael’s over two dates.

We are delighted to be able to bring you this inaugural event in conjunction with one of Herefordshire’s finest award-winning gin producers. 

Before arrival, please make sure you are aware of the Covid-measure

There is ample free parking at St Michael’s Hospice and all of our routes are accessible and wheelchair friendly. Please park in the main car park (follow the fluorescent car park signage).

The is an outdoor event however, social distancing is recommended.

When coming through the Hospice doors and into the building, you will be asked to wear a face mask. Please pick up a face mask at the main doors and fit before you enter the building. You may take this off when outdoors if you so wish.

If there is adverse weather we will use our indoor space, where we will have the terrace doors open for additional ventilation.

Although not compulsory, we would ask you to complete a Lateral Flow Test prior to attendance and please do not attend if the test is positive or you have symptoms of COVID.


The event activities are outdoor so we would suggest weather-appropriate footwear and clothing. When booking, please state dietary requirements.

5.30pm – 6.00pm – Guest arrival and welcome drink of Espresso Martini supplied by Black Mountains Botanicals

6.15pm – 6.45pm – Gin tasting experience, sample three of Black Mountains Botanicals most popular tipples! 

The sampling experience is accompanied with an Apres Ski themed menu of bean feast stew followed by a sweet treat with a roll of Kaiserschmarrn!

6.45pm – 7.00pm – Witness the spectacle of the magical Lights switch on from the vantage point of the roof-top terrace

7.00pm – 8.30pm – Stroll through the magical lights trail within in the confines of the garden after which why not take in a spot of shopping in our Christmas village.

8.30pm – Time to depart but don’t leave without collecting your goody bag full of festive treats!

Hill Billy Dry Gin:

Hill Billy Red Gin: 
Gold Winner at the London Spirits Competition this is known as our Herefordshire fruits, with Strawberry, Raspberry and Elderflower, perfect for a fruity G&T and great as the base of many cocktails. 

Herefordshire Toffee Apple Liqueur: 
With toffee notes from caramelised apples grown in the ancient orchards of Herefordshire our super smooth toffee Apple Liqueur is perfect as a local alternative to a dessert wine, great as a winter warmer, gently warmed with apple juice or even in a mulled cider
