And with the addition of a favourite snuggly toy, it’s the perfect and easy way to raise funds for your local hospice. Gather children, teachers, parents and carers for a great big teddy bear picnic and bear-themed games & activities. If you’re very lucky, you might even get a visit from the newest member of the St Michael’s team; Benny the Bear!

Open to everyone, hosting your own teddy bear picnic couldn’t be easier:

  1. Sign up for free to receive your picnic pack full of amazing fun resources to make your Benny Bear’s picnic go down a storm
  2. Choose your date and time
  3. Tell all of your children, parents and carers
  4. See if Benny the Bear can come and join you! (more information below)
  5. Ask for a £3 donation per child taking part
  6. Enjoy snacks, games, cake with the addition of all of your setting’s cuddly toys

2. We will then send you a downloadable Teddy Bear Picnic Pack full of resources and handy hints to make sure your picnic goes down a storm!

3. Plan your date and time to host the event and let us know. We might even be able to send Benny the Bear along to your picnic to give the children an extra treat.

4. Organise your theme and tell your children and carers all about it!

5. Host your Teddy Bear Picnic and gather a suggested donation of £3 per child

6. Donate your money after the event and let us say thank you!

We are asking for a donation of £3 per child attending the picnic, this would cover the cost of a freshly prepared meal here at the hospice for one of our in-patients.
