Santa is embracing modern technology in 2020 by offering video and phone calls to young ones across our community.

To get you in the mood you can visit St Michael’s to witness our Christmas Lights, complete with an Elf-manned Post Depot where you’ll receive a gift before posting your letter to the big man.

The gardens at St Michael’s Hospice will be lit up again this Christmas.

As well as being an eye-catching visit for grown-ups, children will enjoy exploring our lights too, with the added bonus of posting a letter to Santa at our elf-manned Post Depot.

The following day, Santa will call your child at home to let them know their letter has arrived safely, and to check they’ve been good. 

You’ll be able to book a time slot for a video or phone call with Santa and your little one. 

On arrival at St Michael’s you’ll be offered a hot chocolate. There will be photo opportunities with the sleigh and beside the ‘NOEL’ letters.

The Post Depot will be manned by Buttons, Tinsel and Jingle, the Christmas Elves. After posting your letter to Santa they’ll be delighted to give you a gift. 

Your time in the gardens will only be bookable in advance so we can ensure a lower number of visitors per quarter hour and ensure social distancing. We are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff and patients.

Adults and children are welcome to a hot chocolate on arrival. All children will receive a gift at the end of the walk.

Time slots for the garden are every 15 minutes between 4.30pm – 6.45pm. You can visit us between 3rd – 6th December and 10th – 13th December. 

Time slots for Santa are every 10 minutes between 10am – 3.30pm on Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December, and every ten minutes between 4-7pm on Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th, Monday 14th and Tuesday 14th December.
