Four soldiers | One boat | 2,800 miles
An epic fundraiser is underway as four men attempt to spend the next six weeks rowing unaided across a huge stretch of the Pacific.
Chris Bailey, Simon Farley, Sam Morris and Chris Barnes have this week left dry land in Monterey enroute to Hawaii.
The four are all serving members of The Royal Yorkshire Regiment who are taking on the daunting task to raise money for St Michael’s Hospice, plus YoungMinds, and Give Them A Sporting Chance.

St Michael’s Hospice was chosen by Chris Bailey (pictured left), who visited us at our Bartestree home last month before heading to California to start this challenge of a lifetime.
Chris has a tangible link to St Michael’s through his grandmother who died at the Hospice, and his aunt who was a doctor here.
The group has already raised over £16,000. Their target is £40,000.
