Lottery One-Off Prize Draw terms and Conditions
Definitions:‘You/your’ refers to the lottery player. ‘We/our/us’ refers to St Michael’s Hospice Lottery One-Off Prize Draw.
St Michael’s Hospice Lotteryis licensed with the Gambling Commission under the Gambling Act 2005. We are members of the Hospice Lotteries Association, The Lotteries Council and adhere to the Code of the Fundraising Regulator. All profits from our lotteries go directly to St Michael’s Hospice (Registered Charity 511179).St Michael’s Hospice provides palliative and end of life care services across Herefordshire and surrounding areas. It is a local independent charity primarily funded by voluntary giving.
To take partin our Lottery One-Off Prize Draw you must be aged 16 years or over, be a resident of Great Britain and agree to our full terms and conditions. It is an offence for anyone under the age of 16 to play or to win a prize. In the event that a minor is inadvertently entered into the draw no prize will be awarded and the stake money refunded. By subscribing to the Lottery One-Off Prize Draw any player is agreeing to allow the Promoter to undertake any appropriate action to establish age verification, including if necessary seeking confirmation from relevant Agencies who can provide such information.We reserve the right to refuse an application at our absolute discretion. Any such rejection may be reconsidered on submission of a written appeal to the Lottery Manager within 7 days. The decision of the Lottery Manager will be final.
Responsible gambling– St Michael’s Hospice promotes responsible gambling and has policies and procedures in place to protect the vulnerable. St Michael’s Hospice is a member of the Hospice Lotteries Association, the Lotteries Council and the Fundraising Regulator. You can advise us that you wish to be excluded from our Draw at any time. For details of self-exclusion please contact the Lottery Office. Customers wishing to use this facility will not be able to join the Lottery or enter a prize draw for a minimum of 6 months from the date of exclusion.
Our terms and conditionsapply until replaced by an amended version. St Michael’s Hospice Lottery reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. We do not notify members individually of changes but an up-to-date copy will be available on our website st-michaels-hospice.org.uk at least 5 days before any changes take effect.

The One-Off Prize Draw
The draw will be carried out on the advertised date and is based upon a subscription of £2 per entry. Each registration will receive a unique number. Only lottery numbers for which full payment has been received will be entered into the draw.We reserve the right, subject to holidays and unforeseen circumstances, to change the date of the draw without notice. In the event that the draw is delayed it will take place as soon as possible after the advertised date.
Our One-Off Draw Prizes are: 1stprize £2,000, 2nd prize £200, 3rdprize £100, 10 prizes of £25, 21 prizes of £10 plus a 35th Anniversary prize donated by Mike Gell, A 9ct yellow gold and coral necklace worth £500. Prizes are sent out by post within 7 working days of the draw. A list of winning numbers is available on our website, in our charity shops, the Hospice reception, and by contacting the Lottery Team on: 01432 851 000.
Payments can be made by credit/debit card, cheque /postal order or cash. Please be advised that a delay in us receiving payment may lead to your number not being entered into our Lottery One-Off Prize Draw.
Prize winners may be asked to take part in promotional activity and St Michael’s Hospice Lottery reserves the right to feature the name, location of residence and photograph of the winner unless notified otherwise.
Change of personal details– it is the responsibility of the player to notify us of any change to their personal details. This is important as we issue letters and winners’ cheques to the name and address held on our database. Any unclaimed prize cheques will be held for 12 months and then treated as a donation.
Deceased member– If we are notified that a Lottery One-Off Prize Draw player has passed away any winnings will be made payable to the Executor. Alternatively, we will accept instructions from an Executor or next of kin to:
- Change the name on the lottery number
- Cancel and refund the subscription
- Cancel and donate any credit to St Michael’s Hospice.
Data protection– We hold your information under the Data Protection Act (2018). For security purposes you may be asked to confirm your personal information before we discuss your one-off Prize Draw subscription. We do not share or sell your data to third parties not representing or contracted to St Michael’s Hospice. We cannot accept liability for third-party loss, delay or theft of communication sent by post, email or fax, nor for any delays in the banking system which is beyond our control.
What you think is important. If you want to make a suggestion or make a complaint then we will welcome it. Telling us about a complaint allows us to make it right quickly. In the first instance this should be to the Lottery Manager. If we cannot resolve your complaint, it will be referred to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service Limited (IBAS).
