Every year we hold an array of fun festive events for all ages

At St Michael’s we love to capture the spirit of Christmas! It’s so important to the work we do and the care we provide to our patients. Make St Michael’s a part of your festive tradition this year, and join us in getting full of Christmas spirit with our fun events.

As well as events, there are lots of other ways you can support St Michael’s this Christmas by buying our charity Christmas cards, booking a Christmas tree collection or simply donating. Every penny we receive goes directly into supporting patients and families who need our care the most, at any time they may need it.

I love bringing my children to St Michael’s for the Winter events. The Grotto is absolutely magical and really gets us all excited for Christmas! It’s great to know that we are giving something back too.

Events for you

Santa’s Grotto

We welcome families to experience the magical Santa’s Grotto and Winter Lights this year in the
re-developed grounds of St Michael’s Hospice.

Fun for the entire family, this event is hugely popular and gives children the chance to meet Santa and select a gift in the glowing fairy-lit Grotto.

Lights

Join us for this exclusive evening event to get you in the mood for Christmas. We have partnered with Black Mountains Botanicals to bring you an evening of festive light, fun and splendour in the glowing grounds of St Michael’s over two dates. This event is just for adults and includes a Gin tasting experience and a magical light switch-on.

Light up a Life

Join with others who have also lost someone that they love, as part of our Light up a Life celebrations this year. There are several ways in which you can get involved in our Light up a Life activities.
You can dedicate a virtual light that shines on, attend a physical service of remembrance, watch a live-streamed service at home or even hold your own event.

Santa Run

On your marks, get set, Ho Ho Ho. Get the whole family involved in our Santa Run which brings a flash of red to the City centre with hundreds of runners dressed as Santa Claus to spread festive fun and burn a few cheeky calories for the holidays. Get involved and have some festive fun whilst raising vital funds for St Michael’s Hospice.

What a scream! The entire family put on our Santa suits and raced around Hereford. The atmosphere was buzzing and it was so much fun. I can’t wait to do it again this year.

Other ways to make a difference

Without your kind donations, we couldn’t make Christmas as magical as we do every year. We want our patients to have the best experience they can, and to continue to make memories with their families.
Nurses from St Michael’s Hospice

Whatever you choose to do to fundraise for us, it will make a huge difference!
However far the distance or big or small the challenge, you will be helping patients and families across Herefordshire with the money you raise.
For that, we can’t thank you enough.
