A busker who travels around the country in his camper van stopped off at St Michael’s Hospice to give two very special performances.
Shaun Kennion, 44, is based in Lancashire but wrote to us asking if we would like him to perform free of charge.
Shaun, who has been playing the guitar since the age of 12, played for Inpatients and those attending Day Services over two days this week.
‘It’s been great playing to people here at St Michael’s,’ said Shaun.
‘It’s my first time here. It’s such a beautiful spot.
‘About two years ago I was talking to a friend of mine. He said our local Hospice in Blackpool might appreciate my music. I go there every three or four weeks now.’
Shaun travels around the country playing at different Hospices and received a very warm welcome at St Michael’s.
‘Playing guitar is just so close to my heart. I feel it’s what I should be doing.’
Shaun doesn’t sing, instead just playing his guitar allowing patients and loved ones to relax and reflect.
