The owner of a Hereford tattoo shop is throwing a party for his 50th birthday – and showing photos from a recent trip to Iraq, where he also has a studio.

Peter Masters, from Skinzophrenic Tattoos, says he will give proceeds from next Saturday’s (18th March) ball to St Michael’s Hospice.

‘I’ve known quite a few people that have been at the Hospice,’ he said.

The ball takes place at the studio’s home in Aubrey Street and will also feature displays by Paul Crow, a local artist who creates acrylic-based artwork on canvas.

The event also marks four years since Skinzophrenic re-launched in Hereford.

Peter went out to Iraq at the start of the year to visit his shop and take photos of the country.

Staff at his shop over there, in the city of Erbil, have completed body art for the military, people who work on oil rigs, and also Iraqi nationals.

Tickets for the ball are limited to 300 and cost £10 each. They must be bought in advance.
