The Hereford Half Marathon is a well established road race and an important event in the Hospice calendar. The 13 mile 193 yards course contains a good balance of undulating and flat sections. The current course record time is 1:08:57 (2006). Runners follow a single lap route that has good spectating points, starting and finishing at Hereford Leisure Centre. There are changing facilities, showers, parking, refreshments and a bar available.
Entry fees per person are £12 in advance if affiliated to a club or £14 in advance if unaffiliated to a club. Late entries can be accepted on the day before 9.30am for a flat entry fee of £20. Relay members pay £14 per person, and can only enter in advance of the day. Sponsorship is welcomed (and greatly appreciated!)

Runners must be over 17 to compete. Please note that any persons under the age of 18 wishing to run the Half Marathon need to enter using the paper form (available in the New Year) as a parent/guardian signature is required. Put your sponsor form online
If you are being sponsored to run the Half Marathon, why not put your sponsor form online? There are several online donation sites e.g. Bmycharity.com, justgiving.com and virginmoneygiving.com where friends and family can visit and sponsor you. They can pay with a debit or credit card, so you don’t physically have to collect the sponsor money either! There are several hospices called St Michael’s, so please look out for our logo and our registered charity number 511179. Once you have set up your page simply email all your contacts and let them know that you are running in aid of the Hospice and give them the web address so they can fill in your form, easy!
