Therapy Assistant
20 hours per week
Working times negotiable
Salary £12,551 - £14,048 per annum pro rata
An opportunity has arisen to work as part of our Therapy team. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Therapy Assistant to work with our Senior Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
Working primarily with ward and day patients, you will be working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to improve independence in mobility and daily functional activities.
Experience in a Therapy Assistant role or other related experience is preferred, whilst experience of working with palliative care patients is desirable. Without this you must be able to demonstrate an understanding of working with people with chronic or progressive life-limiting illness. Full training will be given.
You will need to have experience of team working and excellent interpersonal skills. The Hospice can offer full training to support your role and your professional development with regular supervision from experienced therapists.

Creative and Diversional Therapies Co-ordinator
18.75 hours per week (flexible working required)
£14,388 - 16,223 per annum pro rata
This opportunity is part of a wider initiative to enhance the well-being of patients and their families and complement holistic care. We are looking for someone with vision and enthusiasm that is able to engage with, stimulate and motivate others.
The position will involve designing and implementing a programme of creative, therapeutic and/or diversional activities which positively impacts on quality of life. You will work closely with In-reach service staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and co-ordinating a team of volunteers.
Ongoing training, professional development and supervision will be provided to support you in this role.
