How and what to donate
We sell the following items in our shops:
Clothes and shoes
Bric a brac
Furniture*
Bedding and soft furnishings
Electrical goods, including fridges, cookers and washing machines
Childrens Toys and Games
Books, tapes and CD's
Pictures and unwanted gifts
*Predominantly in our two warehouses and charity store.
If you have any items that you no longer need, that would be suitable to sell in one of our charity shops, we would be very grateful to receive them.
Unfortunately we cannot take all items offered to us. These include upholstered items that do not have relevant fire and hazard labels, furniture that is in a bad state of repair or contains woodworm, or beds that are stained. Also skateboards, skates, crash helmets, cycle helmets, prams, and car seats and underwear. We can also only take pushchairs that have a five fixed-point harness (two over the shoulders, two at the waist and one through the legs).
If you are able, please take the items you would like to donate along to one of the shops yourself (please click here for a list of our shops) . If the item is a piece of furniture, or you are unable to deliver it you can call one of the following numbers and we will arrange to collect it:
01432 279074 - For Hereford and surrounding areas
01568 620568 - For Leominster and surrounding areas
When our shops are closed
Please be aware that leaving goods at our shops when they are closed is illegal and is regarded as fly tipping. More importantly we only receive a fraction of donated goods left in this manner as by the time we open the shop unscrupulous people have stolen it.
Hereford Amenity Tip
From April 2007 you will need to have a permit to take a trailer or van to the amenity tip in Rotherwas, Hereford.
