Hereford FC teams up with St Michael’s Hospice
The Bulls announce us as their community partner
On the eve of the new football season, St Michael’s Hospice is delighted to announce that Hereford Football Club has chosen us as a community partner.
Throughout the course of the season, which begins this Saturday (4th Aug), the club has said it will be happy to treat a number of patients to special hospitality experiences at the Edgar Street ground, as well as playing their part in other community initiatives for us.
The club’s Director of Community Engagement, Andrew Graham, said, ‘We are all very moved by St Michael’s philosophy of care – that the patient and their family always come first.
‘St Michael’s looks to find or create opportunities to promote the patient’s quality of life and well-being (in however small a way) and will do whatever they can to make it happen.
‘Through our partnership, during the 2018/19 season the club will be inviting selected or nominated patients, who have perhaps followed Hereford through the healthy time in their lives, to enjoy an extra special hospitality experience at Edgar Street.
‘I want each special guest to be treated to an executive day out, a day where perhaps we can thank them for their support and show them that we, as a club, are together in standing by them in their time of need.’
Since forming in 2015, the club has achieved three successive promotions and now finds itself in Conference North. They kick off the new season at home to Blyth Spartans on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
Paddy Nugent, the Hospice’s Community Fundraising Manager, said, ‘Hereford FC is a thriving club with a fanbase across Herefordshire and beyond.
‘We’re delighted they are teaming up with us and we look forward to creating some great memories for our patients and their families.’
