This fundraiser is all about taking the plunge for your Hospice
You will scale one of the most prominent buildings in Hereford during an abseil challenge in support of St Michael’s Hospice.
Participants will descend the front of the Beefy Boys restaurant in the city’s Old Market.
Once complete, abseilers can enjoy a complimentary Beefy Boys burger, too. Those completing the abseil in the morning will receive a voucher which they can exchange for a burger later in the day or whenever they wish.
Hereford Kayak and Canoe is once again helping organise the event.
Places are limited and you must register in advance.
The event is open to those aged eight and over, although those under 18 must complete a consent form signed by their parent or guardian.
No previous experience is necessary as training will be given on the day. Those taking part must also be able to crawl under a low girder to access the roof.
Places are on a first come, first served basis, and we anticipate a very high demand.
The event will start at 9am and finish at approximately 5pm.
Prior to the event, all participants will be allocated a time slot between 9am – 4.30pm, and will complete their abseil at some point within that hour.
There will be a photographer to capture your experience and photos will be available free of charge online.
It costs £10 to take part and there is a minimum sponsorship requirement of £50 per person, or £100 in total for families of two adults and two children.
There will be eight abseilers per hour. The event will start at 9am.
Prior to the event, all participants will be allocated a time slot.
You will need to meet outside Beefy Boys 15 minutes before your designated slot.
The Beefy Boys have very kindly offered to give everyone completing the abseil a complimentary burger.
St Michael’s Hospice provides all its care free of charge to patients, their families and carers.
This care is made possible by supporters taking part in fundraising events like this abseil, shopping at our retail outlets, playing the Hospice Lottery, making charitable donations and leaving gifts in their wills.
To raise money for your Hospice and help us continue to care, please download the sponsor form opposite, or set up a JustGiving page by following the links on this page and then ask your friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor you.
