Equipment loaning service

Helen Mussell, our Occupational Therapist manages the Hospice equipment store. We have a small number of beds and mattresses which we can loan to very sick patients so that they can be cared for, in comfort, at home. Equipment such as profiling beds, pressure relieving mattresses and reclining chairs are lent on a short-term basis. This store is in addition to the Community Equipment Service, run by Social Services, which loans a wider range of equipment on a longer-term basis. Access to either of these services is through a referral from the Community Macmillan Nurses, district nurse or other care professional.
