Emotional, psychological and spiritual support

Individuals can be mentally fragile during a terminal illness. They may worry about what the future holds for them and their loved ones; they may fear dying or want answers about the ‘bigger picture’; or they may feel hurt, resentful or angry – “why me?” We believe that hospice care is caring for the whole person, and an important part of this care is providing support to cope with these feelings, a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. Many different people are available for both the patient and their families to talk to. We have a very good support network within our social care, spiritual care, nursing and medical teams.
