Corporate Support

There are many ways that organisations can support St Michael's Hospice with the involvement of staff and management internally, as well as including, where appropriate your suppliers and customers. We can work closely with you to determine the activities that will work best for your business. This might involve:

Events
St Michael's can help you and your employees take part in events such as the Hereford Half Marathon, The Sue Parry Six Aside Competition, Parachute Jumps, Triathlon, and a host of other ideas both local and national.

Bespoke activities
We can work with you to develop bespoke activities that are especially appropriate to your company.

Charity of the Year
Adopt St Michael's Hospice as your Charity of the Year. Click here to see how this worked for John Goodwin Estate Agency in 2006.

Sponsorship
Whether your company has a sponsorship budget of £1,000, £10,000 or £100,000, St Michael's will be very grateful to receive it to help pay for necessary services, products, events or publications.

Gifts in Kind
Do you have unwanted samples, end-of-line stock or second-hand goods? A 'gift in kind' donation is a great way for your company to support St Michael's Hospice.

Whether you are a retailer, manufacturer, agent, distributor or wholesaler - if you have surplus goods then you can help.

Donated items will be sold through St Michael's network of professionally-run charity shops across the county. If you have anything you think could be suitable, or would like to know more about gifts in kind, call St Michael's Shops and Trading on 01432 851000.

Suggested goods to donate:
· Clothing
· Books
· CDs
· Household goods (including furniture and electrical goods)
· Accessories
· Toiletries

Why not get everyone at your workplace to have a co-ordinated clear-out by organising a Wardrobe Relief or Bookshelf Relief?

Payroll Giving
Running a payroll-giving scheme is an excellent way for your employees to give to St Michael's, as a gift given in this way is worth more to the Hospice.

There are benefits to the company too and any administrative costs can be deducted from company profits for tax purposes. To find out how to set up a scheme, visit the Inland Revenue's site. It gives details of all the registered charity agencies in the UK, plus step-by-step set-up instructions.

N.B. For a company to offer payroll giving to its employees, it must (by law) be contracted to a charity agency.

Why not let St Michael's help you promote payroll giving to your staff too? For further information please contact Geraldine Rose on 01432 851000
