Respite Care

Due to the demand for our services we cannot offer general respite care in our in-patient ward, but we do admit people for short periods to get symptoms under control. We do however have daily respite care in our Day Hospice, where an individual may attend Wednesday to Friday between 10am and 3pm.

A new course is being offered to unpaid carers (over 18 years) starting in August 2010 (exact date to be decided by carers interested). Sessions will be 3 hours long and ideally weekly for 8 weeks. Respite care support for patients is on offer as part of the course.

The course requires a minimum number of participants to run, so please state your interest before the end of July.
