Lymphoedema Clinic
Hazel Brooke, Day Hospice Sister, runs a Lymphoedema Clinic on three Wednesday’s each month between 8am and 4pm. Appointments for this clinic are made through professional referrals.
The aim of the clinic is to care for people who have Lymphoedema in the palliative phase of their disease as a consequence of lymphatic obstruction, malignant disease and/or radiotherapy. It can be a hugely debilitating condition, not only physically but also psychologically; but with the right support and treatment patients can care for their condition with ongoing support, education and hosiery from the Hospice.
