The network of 17 St Michael's Hospice Charity Shops and Warehouses that stretches across Herefordshire from Ross on Wye in the south to Presteigne in the north-west provides an invaluable source of funds for the Hospice. In 2010-11 the retail turnover was an incredible £1.1 million!
We have four furniture warehouses that are open to the general public to donate to and buy from, covering a wide range of furniture, electrical goods, bric-a-brac, books and clothing. We are also able to arrange house clearances.
Apart from four Retail Managers and four Warehouse Operatives our shops are staffed entirely by volunteers, of whom we currently have over 650.
